Teen yoga is the perfect time of the week to find peace, recharge and be yourself!
The expectations are high for teenagers: tests, exams, a lot of studying… Wouldn’t it be nice to calm down your mind? Not to mention you are able to think more clearly and study for tests a lot better with a relaxed mind!
During the class, we do a lot of postures (asanas) that are meant to help tone your muscles, keep your joints supple and help support your posture.
Starting yoga at a young age also helps with focussing, so that your ability to concentrate develops and improves. It creates confidence and helps to develop and improve a positive self-image.
Content of a teen yoga class
During the teen yoga classes, we’ll start with a group discussion, where we’ll talk about a theme or issues from your daily lives. After that, we’ll combine yoga postures, breathing exercises, relaxation, mindfulness, massage and meditation.
Yoga and meditation
Yoga and meditation help you to feel more secure and able to relax better. During the class, but also when you have a test or exam for example. Or when you’re interacting with other people, your peers. The postures help to create a stronger body, toned muscles and a healthier you. Yoga helps you to relax more, making it easier to sleep well and be more energetic.

You experience the interaction with yourself and your body.
You will learn relaxation exercises that you can use at tense moments like during a speech at school or an exam.
You’ll learn to concentrate better.
