Qigong: 8 silken movements (Ba Duan Jin)
Qigong is a moving meditation, a dance with energy known as Qi (called prana in yoga). Qigong is similar to Tai Chi but simpler and easier to learn. Each graceful and effortless movement is synchronised with an easy flowing Breath of Silk to focus and calm your mind.
The movements in Qigong are designed to mobilise your joints, release tension from your muscles and promote mental, emotional and energetic balance. Qigong sequences are intended to be "learned by heart," giving you the freedom to practice anytime and anywhere with friends, colleagues or alone in the heart of nature.
8 Silken Movements (Ba Duan Jin) is the most popular Qigong sequence practiced around the world today. It's eight fluid movements are synchronised with the Breath of Silk to focus and calm the mind. Each of the eight silken movements is designed to gently mobilise the joints, release tension from the muscles and promote mental, emotional and energetic balance. Qigong sequences are designed to be "learned by heart," giving you the freedom to practice anytime, anywhere, with friends, family and colleagues, or on your own in the heart of nature.
Arun is an international teacher from London, he will be guiding you safely and accurately through some of the world's best known Qigong sequences. Each workshop will teach you the internal alchemy as well as the external integrity of Qigong. Each 3 hour workshop will have a short break for refreshments at the halfway point.
