Do I need to be flexible?

Actually yoga is not about being flexible. But why do the poses all seem to be about creating flexibility? The poses are created to heal and to keep health and vitality in the areas of focus in the pose. 

Remember that the focus of yoga is to stay fit and vital, not only for flexibility. We all have our own firm, comfortable position in the pose. Not everyone has to look the same in each pose. It is not a competition, especially not with yourself!
